It would have been man-bites-dog kind of news if Air Academy (girls) or Palmer Ridge (boys) had not prevailed in 4A Region 2, but both teams did. So, no full-page headlines here.

But, that doesn't mean there's no story whatsoever to tell.

For most of the morning, it looked as if the teams of 4A Region 2 would need amphibious landing gear just to get to the meet. That possibility faded, however, when the rain stopped at about noon and, for a couple of moments, unfiltered sunlight actually broke through. There were still plenty of puddles to be enjoyed on the course, but actual race-time conditions were rather pleasant.

Unless you were chasing Air Academy, that is.
