The last week of the invitational track and field season is never short on heroics. And if a hero is what you seek, there is no better place to find one than the St. Vrain Invitational. Outside of the state track meet, there is no bigger weekend of track and field than the last week of qualifiers and there is no bigger meet than St. Vrain.

For coaches who ply their trade in the lower three classifications, there is nothing better than working with a meet director who is willing to pay a little extra attention to the dynamics of what it takes to qualify athletes through to the state meet. Scanning through the heat sheets, athletes from every classification were represented and seeded in to heats that would give them the best chance at extending their season for another week.
