Centaurus Coach Devin Rourke has picked a most opportune weekend for hosting the Centaurus Cross Country Invitational. There is not an abundance of available meets on the Front Range on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. And that means teams come flocking to the meet.
It's a bit of a quirky course. At points, the trail is beautiful, with more than enough space for passing. At the other extreme, there are about 100 meters of single track, a couple sections of not-very-wide sidewalk, and shorter sections of other course varieties. But, you put it all together and it works. Programs like Monarch and Broomfield keep coming back.
