The turnout at the USATF-Colorado State Indoor Championships was a bit lighter than it has been in a few previous years, but that fact didn't seem to do much to diminish the quality of the performances. If you're looking for a reason for the decline in attendance, there might be a couple. One of those reasons, however, was almost assuredly not the Pro Bowl game. More likely candidates include heightened competition from the Colorado School of Mines High School indoor series, and a bit of stepped-up vigilance from CHSAA over high school coaches having coaching contact with athletes from their schools on Sundays.
