You had to wade through a lot of Lone Star State athletes to find them, but Colorado athletes have been present and busy competing at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas.
Thus far, the high point for Colorado has been the throwing of Lutheran's Adam Dawson. Dawson picked up a fourth in the discus with a 185-0, then came back on short rest in the javelin a notched a third at 175-9.
Mullen's Bryce Medaris got the Colorado results underway on Thursday with a 6:36.26 in the 2000 Steeple. That was good enough for 10th.
The pace of the action began to pick up a little for Colorado on Friday.
Wind Henderson managed 20th in a very tough long jump field with a leap of 21-4 (+1.7).
Christian Cumber's wind-aided 11.02 was not enough to advance to 100 meter finals.
Mullen also failed to advance their 4x200 meter relay time to finals with a prelims effort of 1:32.16. Jeordan Holmes of Mullen posted a 16.16 (+2.4) in the 110 hurdle prelims that similarly missed advancing to finals.
