We've done 2A and 5A already; 3A comes up this time.
Although 3A scores five, it's also sometimes a little like 2A in that a lot of the 3A teams, and even some of the better 3A teams, don't always have a lot of depth. That's just how it is when you're drawing from small numbers.
So, even a single incoming freshman might make a big difference in how the season develops for a 3A program. And, it's a lot more likely that an incoming freshman boy will become a scoring contributor on a 3A team than a 5A team.
This article will take a look a which 3A teams are looking for the biggest impacts from their freshman classes, given what we know now. It won't include teams that haven't raced yet, and it might overlook some 3A teams whose freshmen were mostly tucked away in the non-scored JV races at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede.
