Top Returning 5A Boys for the 2025 XC Season

At the top of the list for these rankings is Rocco Culpepper of Niwot High School, who ran his fastest time ever in incredibly hot conditions at Desert Twilight. He was only two seconds behind eventual NXN champion, Charlie Vause. Unfortunately, Culpepper struggled throughout the rest of the cross country season, but it shows huge potential on what he could do this season, and he definitely deserves to be a top of the rankings. Even though his latest cross country performance was not as strong as other names on the list, we cannot help but view him as one of the title favorites.  

Not too far behind him is his teammate in Quinn Sullivan whose personal best time in the 5k came a couple months later after Culpepper's, running 14:47. Culpepper and Sullivan are riding a lot of momentum from the track season, where they went 1-2 in the 800 meters in the 4A division at the state track and field meet.
