2017 In Review
The big news for the 2017 season, of course, was Battle Mountain. Not only did the Huskies dominate at State, they went on to win the regional championship race at NXR-SW and then finish third at NXN. A season doesn't get much better than that.
There were certainly other teams around the state that enjoyed solid seasons, teams like Palmer Ridge, Durango, Niwot, Air Academy, Centaurus, Valor Christian, and Golden. In a given year, any of those teams might have won a state title, but 2017 was not a given year. The stakes were higher in 2017 than they had been many previous years.
And, the forward-looking view calls for more of the same in 2018.
