It's a battle between the Taylors: Taylor Whitfield and Taylor James top this list.
Whitfield's 17:33 from Nike Cross Regionals was the fastest time run within the Class of 2021 last year. Additionally she was the 5A state runner-up (something James achieved in 4A), and she's got a state title to her name - the 3,200 from this past spring.
James has a 17:37 to her name from NXR, which is No. 2 on this list, and as crazy as it sounds, that's just one small hint of the crazy range she's got. She was the 4A cross country state runner-up last year, though she added state titles in the 200, 400, and 800 this past spring.
We should have some great battles between these two Taylors in coming months...
Coming in No. 3 in the Class of 2021 is future Valor Christian Eagle Isabella Prosceno. Her 17:56 PR from NXR is the third and only other sub-18 minute last year.
