Epic Battles At The Let's Get REAL Classic

The girls from Angel Flight dominated the sprints.

Casia Provencal led Amira Austin and Courtney Wilborn under 8 seconds in the 60, running 7.85 for the win. Freshman Symone Adams nearly made it four Angels under 8, as she was just over in 8.03.

Provencal added the 60 Hurdle title to her list of wins as well, as she took a hundredth of a second victory over teammate Wilborn, running 9.19 to 9.20.

Adams did taste victory before the day was over, however, as she won the 200 in 25.85.

In addition to her wins in the 400 and 600, Taylor James also picked up a W in the mile in 5:18, which was just ahead of teammate Lucca Fulkerson, who ran 5:19.

Moving up in distance...

Elliot Pribramsky and Sierra Bower put on a show in the 3,000.

Bower set a hot, hot pace early on, blitzing the opening 800 in 2:40. Pribramsky went with her at first before pumping the breaks a bit.

After Bower cruised through the mile in 5:40 Pribramsky went to work cutting into her four-second lead.

It was a two-woman race heading into the final 1,000, and soon it was one as Pribramsky's patience paid off.

The Battle Mountain junior cruised by Bower and off to victory in 10:55. Bower held on for the runner-up spot in 11:21.

In the vertical jumps belonged entirely to Caitlin SimmonsThe Lutheran senior dominated the long jump with a leap of 18-3, and the triple jump in 37-5.

And on the topic of domination, Katie Dack-Howell cleared the competition with a state-leading toss of 44-1 in the shot put.
