Symone Adams and Cherokee Trail look like the girl's Team To Beat in 2023.

Now that the dust has settled on the 2022 outdoor track & field season, let's set our gaze in front of us - to the 2023 season...

On paper, it looks like the same three squads in both boys and girls team races.

And on paper, it looks like 2023 could be Cherokee Trail's year in the girl's team race.

They've got four girls who look to be big point scorers at the State meet. Between Kaeli PoweSymone AdamsSanaai Hancock, and Sky Thompson this squad looks dominate. Thompson and Powe could potentially sweep the horizontal jumps, while Hancock could put up big points in the hurdles, and Adams could sweep the sprints (and defend her 100 state title.) These four alone could claim the state title for Cherokee Trail.

But you can never count out Valor Christian. 

On paper they're a solid No. 2. They'll likely stack up their points in the distance events with Brooke Wilson and Keeghan Edwards, with the addition of Peyton Holme...
