Quick Take: The Cherokee Trail boys have come out on top of the first edition of the Coaches Poll. Their recent team victory at the Liberty Bell Invitational proved that they deserve to run into the middle of the season on top of the rankings.

Cherry Creek were a unanimous No. 1 in the girl's poll. They've put together two great team victories, winning the Arapahoe Warrior Invitational, and the Liberty Bell Invitational.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Take: Niwot - on both sides. They were a unanimous No. 1.

We haven't seen them run at full-strength yet, but their depth has preceded them. There aren't really any surprises here.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Take: The Classical Academy boys have put together a few great races already, most notably their impressive victory at the Running From The Past Classic where they scored 26 points.

Alamosa enters the 2022 season on top of the girl's rankings - they're coming in off a dominating team victory at the Joe I. Vigil XC Invitational, where they put five inside the top-11. Likewise, TCA ran away with the team victory at the Running From The Past Classic, showing that they have re-loaded. Tinmath may be a new, but they've wasted no time making their debut on the Coaches Poll.

Quick Take: If the poll hints at anything, it's that there's a tight boy's team battle on tap. St. Mary's has the edge in the first Coaches Poll of the season. Heritage Christian is a close, very close No. 2.

Heritage Christian and Lake County were a solid No. 1, and No. 2 on the girl's side.
