Amy O'Connell has quietly been putting together a great season.
The Mullen senior picked up her third victory, running away from the field to once again enjoy the final straight to herself.
O'Connell ran 18:54 for an eight-second victory.
Additionally, O'Connell's post-race interview (above) has perhaps the best intro to date...
Behind her Mead looked good early on with Frances Hudson and Lauren Caldwell finishing 2-3 in 19:02, and 19:34.
Kent Denver countered with Molly Zann and Isa DelCastillo finishing 4-5 in 19:38, and 19:44, which was just ahead of Summit freshman Lauren McCalla, who finished sixth in 19:56.
But in the end it was Battle Mountain with some impressive depth that took the team title.
Milaina Almonte led the squad with a seventh-place finis in 20:13. Addison Beuche and Presley Smith finished just outside the top-10 in 12th, and 13th. Lindsey Kiehl finished 22nd, and Kira Hower closed the door finishing 30th.
Battle Mountain tallied 81 points for a slim victory over Mullen, who tallied 93, and Mead, who tallied 97, and Cheyenne Mountain, who tallied 100.
