Is there a changing of the guard coming in 2023?

Over the last four years the 4A state title has gone to either Niwot, or Cheyenne Mountain - two for each squad in fact. 

But on paper it looks like 2023 could be Coronrado's  year. 

They finished sixth at this year's state championships, but they return the fastest squad for 2023. 

Coronado returns three - Boston PottsParker Davidson, and Briley Roth - who have broken 17-minutes, and six who have broken 17-minutes. They own a 1-5 average of 16:04, and a split of 56-seconds. 

Add that Coronado returns six of their top-seven from this year's state squad. 

Beyond Coronado it's the status quo - two squads that are highly likely to simply reload next year, and out-run their "On Paper" numbers. 

Niwot returns the second-fastest squad, led by Rocco Culpepper's 15:18. He's their lone sub-16 returner, though they've got two - Gavin Engtrakul, and Christopher Wood - just a few seconds on the other sub of the 16-minute mark. They return five who have r...
