Since there's been some early fireworks in the pole vault this indoor season, we decided to take a closer look at year-over-year progression in the event spanning four years, because as it looks right now, we've got some exciting months ahead of us!
Kourtney Rathke isn't just on top of the latest Colorado Rankings, she's also made a massive improvement since freshman year. The Peak to Peak junior and defending 3A state champion has gone from 11-0 in eighth-grade to 13-6.5* this indoor season.

Another notable leap has been Sophie Pierce (pictured above). The Fairview senior has raised the bar over a foot-and-a-half since freshman year, going from 10-7.25 to 12-2.
Only a few boys actually competed indoors over the years. Among the notable improvements has been Tyler Rowan, who went from 10-6.75 two-years ago to 14-8.
