Opening up her season at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird 2025 meet, Jade West won the shot put with a mark of 42-7.5. Her mark easily earned her a MileSplit First Team National Standard by a huge margin. She also is clearly ahead of the rest of Colorado currently in the event.
Caitlin Kestner, Discovery Canyon High School
Rising to new heights was Caitlin Kestner at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird 2025 meet, where she pole vaulted over 11-10 to win the meet. She also easily won the event and set a new personal best to kick off the season.
Alexa Queen, Fountain Fort-Carson High School
There was no shortage of talent in the hurdles events at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird 2025 meet and Alexa Queen came away with the victory in the 300m hurdles, running 44.42. Her time is currently #1 in Colorado and a little over a second off of her personal best she set at the state meet.
Kaeli Powe, Cherokee Trail High School
Competing in a championship meet early on in the season can definitely create big marks, which happened for Kaeli Powe, who jumped 19-2 at the Aurora City Championships. Her mark is only a few inches off of her PR and puts her in the lead of the rest of Colorado by a foot.
Sylvie Harrison, Palmer High School
Similar to the boys, it is wild to have another huge mark in pole vault but Slyvie Harrison also got over 11-10 at the Palmer Terror Invitational in Colorado Springs. Though she has vaulted over 12 feet before, this early season mark of 11-10 puts her in a good place to surpass her personal best later on in the season.
