Broomfield Shoutout 2025 Meet Recap

We are definitely in an exciting year of girls' 100m hurdles in Colorado, and the showdown between Alexa Queen of Fountain-Fort Carson High School, Kiyah Enoch of Smoky Hill High School, and Reese Kasper of Niwot High School did not disappoint.

However, the Queen prevailed once again, as Alexa Queen came away with another personal best, running a time of 14.61. With each weekend, Queen levels up and continues to rise above every new challenge.

Nevertheless, Enoch produced another incredibly quick time of 14.79, a new personal best and only her second time under 15 seconds! The other time was at the Colorado state meet, proving Enoch can rise to the occasion in the big races.

Finally, Kasper also reached a new personal best of 14.81, getting slightly edged by Enoch at the finish line. She continues to improve with each race, giving Colorado track and field fans a show every weekend.

Kasper also set another PR in the 300m hurdles, where Queen opted to scratch the event. Though no one was close to Kasper, she did not need anyone pushing her to a new PR of 43.05! On top of that personal best, the wind was definitely howling as they burst out of their blocks, making the mark that much more impressive.

The sprints continued to impress with Annalina Torres of Legacy High School. She doubled up in the long sprints, running a new Colorado #1 time in the 400m of 55.96! She also had to buck a strong wind, showing even more potential Torres could have in the event. Then she went on to win the 200m in a time of 24.71, putting her at #1 in Colorado in that event as well.

The winds continued to be the biggest adversary for our runners, as Rosie Mucharsky of Denver East High School and Cloe Ruth of Silver Creek High School fought it twice as they went around the track in the 800m. Mucharsky came out with the win, running a time of 2:13 with Ruth at 2:15. Both marks are still very strong for this part of the season and with the strong headwind, there is definitely a lot more room to grow for these two ladies.

Though the fast heats of the 3200m were in the evening, the wind chose to die down for the eight lap race, where we saw top times in all of the United States from teammates Tessa Walter and Chamorra Cooper of Air Academy. Walter went 10:41 and Cooper ran a time of 10:43. Both ladies lapped almost the entire heat, which is saying something when the rest of the heat was still running quick times.

Vivian Jack of The Classical Academy also put up a strong fight, running a new personal best time of 11:11 and putting herself at #2 in the state rankings in Class 3A.

The field events were just as exciting, with a little help from the wind on the jumps runway.

First, in triple jump, Kaeli Powe of Cherokee Trail High School placed first overall with an astounding mark of 42-1.75! This mark would put her #2 in all of the United States, however, it was not wind legal. Nevertheless, Powe has already gone over 40 feet during the indoor season, so we should see a mark like this soon from her, without any tailwind.

The long jump also faced some great marks, including Eliana Henriques of Niwot High School who jumped out to 18-1.5. Though her jump was also wind-aided, it will hopefully give her the confidence to jump that far in the future. Sasha Naushad of Rock Canyon High School, however, managed to get a wind legal jump of 18-0.5 for a new personal record and snatched the #3 wind legal longest jump in Colorado this year.

If the jumps were not exciting enough, Sylvie Harrison of Palmer High School decided to one up herself with another PR in the pole vault. She got up over 12-7, which is good enough for a top 10 mark in all of the United States and the #1 vault in Colorado! It is still very early in the season, and we look forward to Harrison's continued improvement.

Finally, another name who has constantly been improving on her own marks is Jade West of Niwot High School. This time she threw an incredible throw of 45-3.5 in the shot put, also putting herself on the national leaderboard in the top 15!
