Ben McPherson of Byers High School and Eli Schuknecht of Buena Vista High School find themselves near the top of the list in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Though it will not just be a battle between these two in all of the sprint events, they will be fighting for the top spot most likely in all of the events. Byers High School is also in the running for a podium finish, so they will need McPherson to step up and try to win as many of the sprint events as he can, though it is still very crowded at the front.
Some of the more exciting races could come on the distance side as a trio of names will try to play to their strengths to win certain distance events. Bobby Kiesewetter of Golden View Classical Academy has the best range with the top time in the 800m and the 1600m and the fastest time on Colorado soil in the 3200m. He will have to go up against Biruk Begashaw of the Lotus School, who does have a faster overall time of 9:12, but has only ran 9:37 at altitude as opposed to Kiese...
