In terms of speed, Lyons may be the most dangerous team on the course this fall. They return the fastest squad from 2017.
They've got a 21:04 team average (top-three), which leads Paonia by just three seconds. The two schools are the only two schools with two runners under the 21 minute barrier.
The 1-2 punch for Lyons is what really separates them from Paonia, and can give them the edge this season. In a strange twist of irony, Lyons and Paonia have third runners who both ran 21:48 last year. Both squads have a solid three that will be hard to beat.
Outside the top two, Platte Canyon is only a few strides behind with a 21:07 team average.
