Patiently, over a long span of years, the Discovery Canyon girls have bided their time. They've been a good team among great teams. But 2014 may be the year that the Thunder rises to the top.
Led by sub-20s Beth DeLaurell and Arianna Ross, with nice support from a near-20 in Yana Brown, the time for Discovery Canyon to make a trip to the top may be upon us. The opportunity that is before them is too obvious to be lost on anyone. This should be the PPAC team to beat next fall.
But, there will be a couple teams anxious to preserve their place at the top--despite losing some key pieces to graduation. Cheyenne Mountain returns Madison Lambros and Veronica Lambros, plus a raft of hopes of returning to the top at state. Air Academy returns Katie Rainsberger, Kayla Wiitala, and dreams of finall...
