Under cloudless blue skis, and nearly flawless early spring weather, the meet went off with nary a hitch With temperatures hitting the low 70s by afternoon's end, no one could dispute the second day of spring was a great one for a track meet at Stocker Stadium.

One day after hosting the first ever collegiate meet at the venue, swarms of Western Slope high schools converged in Grand Junction and welcomed Front Range powerhouse Palmer Ridge to the fray as well.

Making her debut this track season, Moffat County's Kayla Pinnt quickly made it clear she was back. If there were any thoughts that she might be rusty, Pinnt quickly put those to rest.
