You probably didn't know this yet, but you'll be missing seeing Ben Butler and Lily Tomasula-Martin at least one weekend this fall.
They won't be gone on a recruiting trip, but they will be gone to represent the USA in the World Junior Mountain Running Championships.
The US Junior team will be competing on the same day as the Seniors in Snowdonia, North Wales, on September 19. The Junior women's race is a single 4K lap of and up-and-down course with 250 meters of elevation change. The Junior men run the same course but take it over two laps instead of one.
Runners were selected for the US team via running resume and application. Contestants must be between 16 and 19 years of age.
