The Anna Banana Memorial Wildcat Invitational delivered on its expectations.
Returning teams were treated to a new starting location, or the same one from several years passed for those that have been coming that long. Rather than having to negotiate through parking barriers and a tight turn after 100m, the race instead took a page from Liberty Bell. Opting for a much longer, yet tighter opening stretch.
The confines of the course will always present a starting challenge. Additionally, concerns over parking availability and visitor access resulted with the State Parks Department further restricting the team entries they are allowing into the park. The restricted entry will make this speedster course a rare draw on the Western Slope.
