Glenwood Springs came out from the mountains on fire.
The duo of Ella Johnson and Sophia Connerton-Nevin took the field with a stellar 1-2 finish in Division 2. Johnson claimed the W with a 18:15 clocking, while Connerton-Nevin was second in 18:19, which was just one second ahead of Evergreen's Sarah Allen, who ran 18:20.
Pomona freshman Emma Stutzman had a big day of her own, finishing fourth in 18:36.
In the team race Glenwood Springs 1-2 punch could not be countered. They ran away with the team title, tallying 63 points for dominating victory. Loveland took the runner-up spot with 121 points, while Laramie and Pueblo West tallied 155 points, though the nod for third went to the squad from Wyoming as their sixth runner beat Pueblo West's.
