Bower, And Norman, Scorch The Field In 3A

The Classical Academy entered the state meet as a clear favorite, though Faith Christian made them work for it Saturday.

Through three runners the team race appeared very, very tight, but TCA swept up the title with a strong 4-5.

Kennedy McDonald joined Sawer inside the top-10, finishing fifth, while Rebecca Thompson was just outside, in 15th. Kotryna Obergfell and Sophia Valentine wrapped up TCA's scoring, finishing 18th and 20th.

TCA put five in front of Faith Christian's three, which catapulted them over their challengers for a successful title defense. They tallied 50 points, beating Faith Christian's 88, while Basalt finished third with 119.
