Agur Dwol leapt to a new PR of 40-8 in the triple jump at the Let's Get REAL #3 meet.

Talk about launching into April... 

We had a few meets on the calendar, and all of them had something worth talking about.

Here are the highlights of the highlights...

For starters, let's talk about leaping into April. (Or launching?)

In other words: leaping to a new personal best.

Because that's exactly what Agur Dwol and Melody Nwagwu did at the Let's Get REAL #3 meet in Johnstown Saturday. 

Before Saturday Dwol had a PR of 40-3.75, while Nwagnu held a PR of 38-11.75. By Saturday night they both owned 40-8 PRs, which is tied for a US No. 2 (down by one inch!) 

Clearly, we've got a lot to look forward to in the coming months... 

Another hotly contested event was the long jump. Symone Adams and Megan Lonneman went over 18 feet, with Adams taking the victory with a leap of 18-2, which was just ahead of Lonneman's 18-1.

On the track Taylor James did Taylor James things. Namely, winning the 200 in 25.69, and the 800 in a season-best of 2:10.91. 

Meanwhile Kimora Northrup took the 400 in 56.23, which was over a second ahead of Skylar Hawk's 57.39. 

In the hurdles, Casia Provencal dipped under 15 seconds in 100 Hurdles for the first time, winning the event in 14.95.

On the boy's side of the competition Jackson Price proved that he's ready to roll. The Regis Jesuit senior won the 100 one-hundredth of a second off his PR, running 11.15.

The Mattivi Spring Showcase in Littleton saw quite a few big performances as well.

Cameron McConnell ran her first outdoor race of 2021, and it was impressive. The Cherokee Trail junior won the 1,600 in 5:11. Five seconds back was Ava Mitchell, who finished second in 5:16.

In the field Giavonna Meeks swept the throws. The Northfield junior won the discus just off her PR in 136-2, and won the shot put in a PR of 45-1.5 - a Colorado No. 1. 

For the boys Keirryse Simpson dipped under 11 seconds to win the 100, running 10.90. Sterling Brassfield was 11-seconds on the nose to finish second. Simpson also doubled back to win the 200 in 22.12.

The 110 Hurdles saw a close race that went to the line - Carsen Bruns and Malique Singleton took this one down to the hundredths. Bruns captured the win running 14.61, just ahead of Singleton's 14.65. Like Simpson, Bruns doubled back to win the 300 Hurdles, running 40.00.

In the throws the name was Avery Shunneson. 

The Thomas Jefferson senior won the discus in 158-5.5, and the shot put in 54-2.5 - both are CO No. 1 marks.

At the ATB Churchyard Meet #1 in Boulder Anna Willis soared above the competition, and 11-feet. The Classical Academy freshman won the event with a 11-7 clearing. Meanwhile, Jackson Wray and Garrett Searls both cleared 14-feet - they both cleared 14-0.5.
