If the past week told us anything, it's that there's plenty to be excited about for the outdoor season... The bar has literally been raised. 

Let's get into it, here are the highlights of the highlights...

The Air Force High School Indoor Open in Colorado Springs provided plenty to talk about. 

Among the highlights were Anna Willis in the pole vault. The Classical Academy sophomore cleared 13-6 for a Colorado No. 1 mark, and a US No. 4. Likewise, Agur Dwol won the triple jump in a meet record of 41-5.75, and Giavonna Meeks dominated the weight throw, winning the event with a 58-11.5. 

 Carsen Bruns highlighted the boys competition. The Rampart senior picked up two state-leading marks, winning the 60H in a US No. 5 of 7.91, and the 200 in 22.10.

On the same day but outside and nearly an hour north a distance carnival of sorts took place at the Peak Pre-Season Outdoor Meet #1. 

Valor Christian's Keeghan Edwards was all business in the 1,600, winning the event in 5:12.02. The boy's 1,600 looked competitive, as Drew Costelow kicked to win the event in 4:24.92 over Connor Kennedy, and Andrew Ho, who ran 4:26.58, and 4:26.90.

There were a few state-leading marks that came out of Thursday night's Colorado Mines HS Indoor Series #6 in Golden. 

Rosie Mucharsky torched the field in the 3,000, running 10:53 for a CO No. 1 on the tight 200-meter track. Likewise, Hunter Strand did the same in the boy's 3,000, running 9:31. In the pole vault Lucas Couron literally vaulted to new heights. The Riverdale Ridge senior added nearly a foot to his personal best in the event, clearing 15-6 for a CO No. 1.
