Meet Records Fall As Let's Get REAL Championship Gets REAL

Anna Prok ran 2:15 to dominate the girls 800 at the Let's Get REAL Invitational Chamionships.

The morning started with a meat-lovers breakfast burrito and the saunter beats of Kendrick Lamar.

It ended with Ben Classen inching out Jacoby Ennis in Heat 25 of the boys 400.

For just over eight-hours there was fire on - and off - the track at the Mountain Lion Field House for the Let's Get REAL Invitational Championship in Colorado Springs.

Meet records were falling like flies.

And it was Gabriella Cunningham who brought enough fire to warm the entire field house.

The Grandview senior sliced an impressive six-hundredths-of-a-second off her 60 hurdle personal best, running a smooth 8.51 to win the event in a Colorado No. 1, and  -- a  US No. 12

And -- it was eight-hundredths-of-a-second off her own meet record.

The win marked her 10th-out-of-11 in the event this season.

The performance was also her second win of the day -- barely an hour earlier to dominated the 60, running 7.79.

The epic finale of Colorado's indoor track & field season did not disappoint - as with the passing of a baton, the meet capped off one leg, leading into another - the outdoor season.

And if it hinted at at anything, it's that we've got a lot to be excited about for the next leg...
