A top of our list for the top 100 returning girls in Class 2A is Mikaela Kendall of Heritage Christian Academy. Her time of 18:14 from Liberty Bell gives her a slight edge over returning state champion, Taya Wren of Rangely High School. Kendall has yet to win a state title on the cross country course, where she has finished in the top three the past two seasons. She has also been in the top three for the 3200m on the track as well. This could be Kendall's year, but Wren will definitely be an admirable adversary. 

Wren did win the cross country state title, and she also has the 3200m state title, backing up her strong fall performance. She also finished 2nd in the 1600m, running personal bests of 11:21 and 5:16 at the state meet. Wren knows how to run her best when it matters, so she will not give up that individual state title very easily. 

Other potential names that could steal the show is Saskia Marlin of North Fork High School and Natasha Hessler of Ridgway High School. For ...
