Sarah O'Sullivan, Caroline Eck, and Jenna Fitzsimmons are three good reasons to keep Mountain Vista in mind as you project a 5A Girls team favorite for the fall season.
It went all the way down to the wire last year before Broomfield staved off a determined effort from Mountain Vista to claim the 5A Girls title.
So, how are things shaping up for this year? You could answer that question a lot of different ways. Three different, though similar in some respects, ways are shown below and on the next two pages. You could score than rankings of returning runners from last fall, returning 1600s from this spring, and returning 3200s from this spring in cross country fashion. That's what I've undertaken here.
It doesn't tell you everything. Most notably, it doesn't tell you what the incoming freshman class looks like for all schools. But, it still tells you a lot.
