Colton Stice tops two lists, the 800 and the 1,600.
Now that we're just over a month into the season, we're getting a grip on who the state-favorites will be in another month. Most events still appear up for grabs, though there are a few that have a dominating presence.
Among the early favorites include Ethan Loper, who has got a quick 200 - 21.80, it's the lone mark under 22 in 3A, and ranks him No. 4 in all-classifications.
In the 400 Jared Ammon is currently the only one who has broken 50 this season.
Colton Stice tops two lists here - the 800 and the 1,600. He's the only runner under 2 in the 800 at 1:59.6, and the only one under 4:30 at 4:29.8.
Topping the list in the 3,200 is Mason Norman, and he's currently one of two 3A runners under 10 minutes in the event.
The 300 hurdles is shaping up to be a pretty solid rivalry between the Elizabeth duo of Mason Anthony and James Finken - both have dipped under 40 seconds in the event.
Reece Davidson appears to have a dominating hold over the shot at 54-5. He's currently on top of 3A by nearly four feet, and No. 2 in all-classifications. Likewise, Ryan Phelps has a similar hold over the discus.
The high jump is another event that is shaping up to be a rivarly, at least so far. Ryan Goldhammer tops the list at 6-7, but Jasper Germain is one-inch down at 6-6.
