Timeline:
Coaches Meeting at 1:40 sharp.
We would like the races to start at 2:00 with the boys middle school teams.
Girls middle school teams race at 2:30.
2A/3A Boys race first at 3:00.
Girls 2A/3A race at 3:35.
Course: We will be using the standard high school xc course. The course basically is crushed gravel with zero concrete or asphalt. From the start to Mile 1, it is slight uphill then flat. From mile 1-2, it is a slight downhill to the turn around, then north slightly uphill to the two mile point. Right after two miles, the main hill awaits, then the rest of the course is flat or slightly downhill. The finish will be in the grass. Course Maps will be with race packets, and for a preview of the map please see below:
We will not have a course map for the middle school races, but it basically uses the same start to mile one, then goes down the hill, around the water fountain on the trail, past the playground, then goes left towards the main trail turning where the high school races end. We will have this set up before the races start and taken down right after the girls middle school race is done.
Meet Entries: They need to be done on Mile Split. The window opens on 9/23/2016 and closes 10/4/2016. All middle school runners have to also be added on mile split.
Scoring: 2A Schools will score 3, and run unlimited based off of 2A State Scoring Systems.
3A Schools will score 5, and run unlimited based off of 3A State Scoring Systems.
Middle School Teams will score 5 run unlimited.
Timing: New this year, we will have chip timing for the races. Hallucination Sports will time the meet. You are responsible for returning all chips back to them, and any lost chips will be charged to your teams. If you find a chip, please mail it back to Hallucination Sports.
Attaching Shoe Chips: Here is a short video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEJx_yKTFMQ
Results: They will be on Milesplit after the race and live results will be at http://www.hallucinationsports.com/event/show/362527215
Entry Changes: They need to be completed before the start of the High School Races. Please return any chips that will not be used back with the entry changes.
We will provide each team with a trash bag. Every team is responsible for cleaning up all trash left in the team camps.
Volunteers: We need 6-8 at the finish line to collect chips, 3-4 at the timing tent so teams can get race packets and possibly more for a water station.
If anybody out there knows of someone that would be willing to be the lead cyclist, let me know, otherwise it looks like that will be me.
