It was a beautiful, sunny day for The Colorado USATF Junior Olympic Championships in Lyons Saturday morning. There were competitors spanning from 8 & Under to the high school ranks.
Kicking off the day were the 8 & Unders, who were outfitted in oversized singlets, basketball shoes, spikes, and velcro shoes, but they all shared the same hunger for competition.
On the sidelines were parents and coaches, who waited while the youngest of the batch toed the line, anxious to see how these littles would preform.
It was a scene that would would play out each race, the only real difference was that the singlets fit a little better, and the footwear was more suited for the terrain.
