Niwot Cleans Up At A Scorching Boulder County Championships

Bright green shirts lined the fence along the backside of the red track. 

While most had left for the comforts of cooler temperatures, inside air-conditioned homes or cars perhaps, the entirety of the Niwot team remained trackside, eager to cheer on their 4x400 squads.

The concept of there being no "I" in "TEAM" clearly wasn't lost in the scorching 90-degree heat and burning feet at the tail-end of a long June day.

Despite sweltering temperatures, meet records were falling like heat-exhausted flies at the Boulder County Track Championships Saturday.
