The 5A girls results were incredibly close in so many races, from the sprints to the distance, and in the hurdles, making each match up exciting. In the 100m and the 200m, Zona Welling of Heritage High School and Addyson Smith of Fossil Ridge went head-to-head. These two had the top times throughout the season, but Welling proved victorious, winning both the 100m and the 200m. Though Welling is only a sophomore, she demonstrated resilience, running 11.75 to win the title as opposed to Smith's 11.76. In the 200m, Welling ran 23.96 versus Smith's 24.08. 

In the 800m, Rosie Mucharsky of Denver East High School was able to hold off the kick of Eliana Angelino of Lakewood High School. Both have had the fastest times in the event for this season, but Mucharsky's 2:09.26 just outedged Angelino's 2:09.73.
