Note: Times were pulled from the top 500 runners from last season. Their times were then compared with this season and then ordered based on those who have made the biggest improvement so far. Results were pulled as of October 15 at 10:00am MT.

For first place on our list for the biggest improvements, Josie Blackburn of
Northfield High School takes the top spot with an improvement of 2:25. In 2024, she ran 21:22, but this year she has already dropped her time down to an impressive 18:57! 
Second on our list goes to Brianna McCarthy of Denver South High School. She also improved by over 2 minutes, running 20:20 for last year. However, this year she has gotten under the 18-minute barrier, running a time of 17:56! 
Finally, third place goes to Milla Phaf of Summit High School who improved her time from 20:57, all the way down to 18:45 so far this year! It will be exciting to see how much more she can improve later on with a few more meets to go this season!
