Kylee Hu of Cherry Creek High School improved her time by 2:22! She ran 21:08 last year and ran 18:45 this year and placed 31st overall after finishing 123rd last year!

With such a challenging course, there is always room for huge improvements at the state meet. Top that off with it being such a high stakes meet, it can lead to runners making some impressive jumps in their times.
At the top of the list is Lucy Hitchcock of Woodland Park High School. She improved by an astounding 4:23, dropping her time to 20:43. She improved her placement by almost 100 places as well and was a big reason her team finished 4th overall in Class 3A!
Earning 2nd on our list is Bethany Dugan of Colorado Springs Christian School. She dropped her time to 27:33 from 31:51 a year ago, improving by 4:18. This time was also one of her best times in the whole season despite the challenging course, showing her ability to run at her best at the state meet.
