Our top three girls all improved by over 2:30 during the regional meets. At #1, Rock Canyon's Mila Cimbura improved by almost three minutes. She ran 21:42 at last year's regional meet and improved to 18:51 this year at the 5A Region 5 Championship and she placed an incredible 5th overall! 2nd goes to Allisson Christensen of Lakewood High School, who improved by 2:46. She ran 21:18 last year and this year she ran an astounding 18:32! She placed 11th overall at the 5A Region 2 Championship, earning a spot to the state meet. For 3rd overall, Acacia Gilmore of Manitou Springs improved by 2:32, running 22:22 last year and improving her time to 19:50 this year.
