The top times for the girls were exceptionally fast this year, and Addison Ritzenhein of Niwot High School once again finished on top. She won her third individual cross country state title, finishing in a time of 17:08! She dominated all of Class 5A, which was easily the fastest classification of the day. Ritzenhein may be lower on the national list, but she beat girls who are in the top 20, making her much faster than her rank.

Next on the list is Payton Meineke of Riverdale Ridge High School, who finished 2nd in 5A behind Ritzenhein. Her time of 17:39 was on par with all of her other times throughout the season. Considering this course is much more difficult and the girls that she beat to earn that runner-up finish, it shows what kind of fitness Meineke is in.
